About Us

Owner, Mindy McGill, founded Livvy Mae Boutique in 2019.  After leaving her field of engineering to stay at home with her children, Mindy was seeking a creative outlet that fulfilled her passion for reaching out to other women.  She created Livvy Mae boutique with family in mind, using the name she had planned for her daughter, with "Mae" being her grandmother's middle name and "Livvy" being short for Olivia.  Mindy was blessed with three sons, and her name for a daughter seemed like the perfect choice for a women's boutique. 

Shopping was always a way to bond with other women for Mindy.  This love for finding the perfect outfit started young, with Mindy's grandmother taking her on fun shopping excursions to the local mall.  Mindy still recalls her favorite denim shorts with the pink checkered ruffles on the hem that her grandmother purchased for her.  Shopping continued to be important even after her grandmother passed.  Mindy enjoyed time shopping with her mother, cousins, and friends.  The time spent together meant so much in so many ways.  Whether it was looking for a first day of school outfit, a special dress for a wedding, an outfit for an interview, or maternity clothing for your first child, many moments in life could be marked by a unique experience involving clothing.  Mindy recalled all of those moments she was surrounded by her family and best friends, encouraging and helping each make important decisions, not only about clothing, but life too.  She wanted to create a space where women could come and have some of those same stories and interactions.  A place where women could come and feel valued and enough and beautiful.

This dream came to fruition in 2020, when we moved into our first storefront.  Livvy Mae is located in the small town of Auburn, KY.  We also ship anywhere in the United States.
